Base Osorno Hostal
Maximum capacity: 4 students at moment + 2 beds in expansion
Base Osorno Hostal is located in the downtown area of Osorno city, just steps away from the bus terminal and various shops including supermarkets. It is also conveniently close to city squares and parks. The hostel is situated in a house that is over 50 years old, originally built on a rural property almost 80 years ago. It was then dismantled into panels and reassembled on another property, only to be disassembled again and finally placed in its current location due to the work-related changes of Mario Avila Grothusen's grandparents.
This house features a distinctive architectural style that combines Chilean and German influences, a common design for structures built in rural areas during the mid-20th century. Currently, the house boasts a spacious front yard and a backyard with orchards, providing a space for bonfires and outdoor gatherings. Additionally, there's a Music Room, a Woodcut Printing Workshop, and a small workshop equipped with tools on the premises.
